City Beach is free. Free to do whatever your imagination can think of in a free green space.

The carousel structure would take away green space, cost money for each ride and create division between children. The carousel restoration is a beautiful idea. The all inclusive cost of the project has got to be satisfied first.

Choosing City Beach because it has the heaviest traffic is not a strong base for financial security. The carousel should be able to survive on its own. Consider: A recreation center on Boyer could include other carousel themed activities. Space in or around the museum could enhance interest in the history of our area. A landowner could donate property.

Considerations for viable locations should be a vote by the residents before plans get rolling.
