Kara Lynn Powers, 36

| May 16, 2017 1:00 AM

Kara Lynn Powers, 36, passed away April 26, 2017 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Kara was born October 20, 1980. She was the fourth generation of her family who was born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. The first born daughter of Randy and Kim Powers of Sagle, Idaho.

She was mischievous, and motherly, to her two younger sisters and cousins growing up. She had compassion and a great love for animals, and brought home several “strays.” Kara had a very happy life growing up with many friends and family. Happy memories to help comfort us in our loss. After graduation Kara went to work as a certified nursing assistant.

Sher is survived by her parents; sister Lindsey (Bobby) Barajaas and nephews Brailan and Luke; sister Hayley (Argelo) Pisano and future new baby nephew Argelo due in August; grandmother Dorothy Eich; great- grandmother Evelyn Keller, grandparents Mike and Nani Powers; Aunt Teri, a cousin Morgan Yarger; Uncle Jeff Eich; Aunt Pam (Robbie) Kucherry; special cousins Derek (Holly) Kucherry, Jared (Emily) Kucherry; Adam (Carli) Eich; Spencer Eich; Becca (Alan) Brinkmeier; many more family and friends; and very special friends Brad Forker and Jenny (Smith) Quinoes.

Family members who preceded her in death include grandpa Dean Eich, grandmother Kay McGhee, uncle Joe Powers, great-grandparents Herman and Mabel Eich and Joe and Grace Walker, great-grandfather Hap Keller. Grandpa Dean passed away one week before Kara so we know he is waiting for her with open arms.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Westmond Cemetery.

“Until We Meet Again”

These special memories of you

Will always bring a smile.

If only we could bring you back,

For just a little while.

Then we could sit and talk again

Just like we used to do.

You always meant so very much,

And always will too.

The fact that you’re no longer here

Will always cause us pain.

But you’re forever in our hearts,

Until we meet again.

Love, Your Family.

Family and friends are invited to sign Kara’s online guestbook at coffeltfuneral.com.

Final arrangements are being handled by Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
