SMS announces holiday giving tree

SANDPOINT — A giving tree is up at Sandpoint Middle School to ensure all students at the school have a merry Christmas.

The tree, which is up at the office, was put to so that families who need a little bit of extra help this holiday season get just that, school officials said in a newsletter sent out to parents. All students and families will remain anonymous.

For each student identified, a tag with a clothing item, or other small gift, was placed on the tree for staff and community members to select, buy and wrap.

Those in need of assistance or community members who would like to select a tag from the school are invited to call or come by the school.
