COEUR d’ALENE — Clark Fork boys basketball dropped its second straight game Monday 78-50 at Coeur d’Alene JV.

The Wampus Cats were only down by two points at halftime, trailing 33-31, but things went south quickly in the third quarter, head coach Heath Beason said.

“It just all the sudden fell apart in the second half,” he said. “We just started to turn the ball over. I think fatigue had something to do with it but our mental direction just seemed like it hit a wall and we couldn’t break through that wall.”

Clark Fork was outscored 45-19 in the second half.

Senior Josh Constantin led the team with 21 points while junior Cameron Garcia added 14.

After losing to Priest River and CDA JV, Clark Fork (1-2) will look to get back on track when they host Priest River 7 p.m. Thursday.
