The Sandpoint Girls Basketball program concluded its four-day youth camp on Thursday, which involved participants entering fourth through eighth grades from Bonner and Boundary counties learning from SHS coaches and players.

“The girls improved so much over the four days — every one of them,” Sandpoint head coach Will Love said. “But my favorite part was seeing the girls smile, laugh and have fun together throughout the 12 hours of the camp as they learned and practiced skills and concepts about this great game.”

The camp also included a visit from former SHS standout and University of Montana player Madi Schoening, who shared how she became a college player, and a talk by Darren Laiche of the Basketball School of Sandpoint on what it takes to be a successful basketball player.
