Weight limits added to county roads

SANDPOINT — Bonner County officials have announced weight limits on some county roads with more possible.

In District 1 — the area south of the Long Bridge — Gypsy Bay and Wooded Acres roads have been posted with green flags. Weight limits will be posted on following roads by 6 a.m. today: Eureka Road, Martin Bay Road, Glengary Bay Road, E Comeback Bay Road, Comeback Bay Road, Jones Road, Hanford Drive, Birch Banks, Ferry Road, Jewel Lake Road, Hillside Drive, Twin Rivers Road, Old House Road, Overlake View Road and Talache Road from E. Dufort going southeast.

In District 2 — the area encompassing the Priest River and Priest Lake area — E. Settlement Road, Anselmo Lane, Campbell Point Road, Riley Creek Park Drive and Holly Glenn Road were posted with road weight limits Tuesday afternoon.

In District 3 — the Sandpoint and Clark Fork areas — there are no roads posted at this time.

Per BCRC Ordinance #422, it shall be the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. These restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
