Cody James Evans McGuire passed away February 12, 2021, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Sandpoint Church of God, 221 S. Division Ave.

Cody was born January 28, 1983, in Ashland, Oregon, to William B. Evans II and Christina B. Kettenring. Cody had a successful career with the Kootenai-Ponderay Sewer District and was also a skilled mason and carpenter who loved making things beautiful. Cody made very good use of the Pacific Northwest and was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hiking, climbing, mountain biking, camping and jiu jitsu. Cody’s older brother paid this tribute to him: Cody was the absolute manifestation of “work hard, stay positive and wake up early.”

Cody was a talented chef and enjoyed bringing people together with his delicious meals. He was abundant with his goodness, ready and willing to help with anything. He was a dedicated dad and cherished being a father to Roman and Ruby and a loving partner to Pearl. They were an amazing team and they built a beautiful life together.

Cody was one of the kindest persons you’d ever meet. He passionately loved his family, and his friends quickly became family as well. Cody put in the effort to maintain even the most distant relationship. It was very important to him that you knew he loved you.

Cody will be sorely missed forever.

(Britney) Evans III and Kasey Evans; sister, Paige (Forrest) Gissel; nieces, Autumn and Harper; nephews, Tanner, Mason and Kingston; grandfather, Will McGuire; grandmother, Lynda Evans; grandparents, David and Faye May; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
