A roundabout is best option for congested Sagle roads

Seems the reasonable solutions to the increase of traffic and safety issues on U.S. Highway 95 would be roundabouts at the Sagle intersection and the south end of the Long Bridge. I wonder if this option has been considered and, if not, why as they certainly slow down traffic and would seem to work well, especially at the south end of the Long Bridge, where backed up traffic from a signal light would be extremely dangerous.
