On the Boy Scout hike to Trestle creek last week, Richard Taylor fell on a pile of rocks and suffered a broken arm. On the same trip Clifford Coons scalded his foot when he inadvertently stepped backward into a pot of boiling coffee.
Mrs. Enoch Perkins and daughter, Jeanne, of Dover, N.J., will spend the summer with Mrs. Perkin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Hines.
Lake Pend d’Oreille is rapidly receding from the flood stage and has already warmed up to such an extent that a great number of bathers are daily taking to the water. At the present rate, the beach will be above the water level within a short time.
