Gladys Catherine Nave, 103, passed away on March 2, 2022.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Gladys was born February 7, 1919, in Glentana, Montana, to Peter and Helen Stein. She was the oldest girl in a family of 16 children.

She married Fred Gilson in 1938 and the couple had their first child, David in 1944. Their daughter Yvonne was born in 1950. In 1960 they sold their farm in Montana and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. The couple divorced and Gladys later married Patrick Nave, September 1, 1967 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Gladys was a housewife who enjoyed taking care of the home and making sure that there was always something good to eat. A favorite of everyone was homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.

Gladys is survived by her son, David (Carol) Gilson of Sagle, Idaho; grandsons, Todd (Marcy) Gilson of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Carl (Laurie) Kinkel of Baltimore, Maryland; granddaughters, Sandra Gilson of Sandpoint, and Kristy (Earl) McCulla of Spokane, Washington; six great-grandchildren, including Samantha (Samuel) Hoggatt of Sagle, and Mathew Federoff of Priest River, Idaho; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews ,including Lea Sammons and Craig Lewis of Sandpoint, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, daughter Yvonne Kinkel, and her husband Patrick Nave.
