Hauling prohibited on more roads

| March 29, 2022 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Additional roads have been designated as "no hauling," Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said Monday.

In addition, restrictions continue in the county — which means no early morning hauling is allowed on any Bonner County maintained road posted with weight limits.

• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — All roads are posted with weight limits. The following roads are posted as "no hauling:" Schneiders, Whitetail Trail, Comeback Bay, E. Comeback Bay, Birch Banks, Hanford Drive, Birch Haven, Sweeney Drive, Hanley Lane and Bella Circle.

• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — All roads in the district will be posted with limits. While much of the road are already under restrictions, all roads not currently posted will be by 2 p.m. Friday.

• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — All roads are posted with weight limits. Effective at 7 a.m., Rapid Lightning from Upper Gold Creek as well as Upper Gold Creek will be posted as "no hauling."

As a reminder, a red flag or no flag on the sign indicates weight limits are in effect.

Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.

Information: Bonner County Road & Bridge, 208-255-5681, ext. 1, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; after hours, 208-255-5681, ext. 8 for weight limits
