SHS golfers compete in CDA

GIRLS
HAYDEN LAKE — Sandpoint’s Taylor Mire was the top local finisher, finishing with an 88 in the Susan Mitchell Invitational at Hayden Lake Country Club on Friday.
Abbigail Tellez of Lewiston won the tournament with an 85, leading the Bengals for the team title.
The teams will compete at the Sandpoint Invitational on Monday.
The Bulldogs were missing Audrey Sheffler who did play because she was feeling under the weather, Sandpoint head coach Mike DePrez said.
It was the team's first time playing at the club, he said.

HAYDEN LAKE — Micah Young and Rusty Lee led the Bulldogs, hitting 88 and 90 respectively in the Jim Kraus Invitational at Avondale Golf Club on Friday.
Coeur d’Alene captured the team title with a 302, with Lewiston second (325) and Lake City third (327). The Vikings were led by senior Luke West who shot an even-par 72 to earn medalist honors.
The teams will compete at the Sandpoint Invitational on Monday at The Idaho Club.
The Bulldogs were without Jacob Gove, who did not play due to feeling under the weather.
