Road weight limits detailed

Several roads have been lifted from several of the county's road, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said Monda.

• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — All roads will be lifted from weight restrictions effective Monday morning with the exception of Al's Welding, Ben Morris, Beare, Curtis Creek, Hoo Doo Mountain, Whittum, Jewell Lake, Schneider's, Ferry, Otts Basin, Sunset, Wilford, Eichs, Southside School, Blacktail, Little Blacktail, Crosswhite, Butler Creek Spur, Overlake View, Eureka, Churchill, Garfield Bay Cutoff, W. Garfield Bay, and Martin Bay roads, Tamarack Lane and Waterfront Drive.

Birch Banks Road, Hanford Drive, Comeback Bay Lane, and E. Comeback Bay Lane remain posted as no hauling. This means the road is only open to regular, residential traffic; no trailers or loaded truck beds are allowed on the road at this time.

• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — The following roads are lifted from weight restrictions: all roads in the Oldtown area, all roads south of the Pend Oreille River and all roads north of the Pend Oreille River and east of Highway 57.

However, Wrenco Loop, Carr Creek, and N. Riley Creek roads remain posted with weight limits. All roads north of the Eastriver/Eastside junction and west of Highway 57 with the exceptions below are still posted with weight limits.

Barrett Road, Stone Johnny Road, and Shannon Lane are lifted from weight limits.

• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — Roads in the Hope/Clark Fork area with the exceptions of W. Spring Creek Road and River Road, east of Twin Creek Road are still posted. All other roads in the surrounding Sandpoint area are still posted with weight limits.

As a reminder, a red flag or no flag on the sign indicates weight limits are in effect.

Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
