LPOSD board to meet today

SANDPONT — From setting a school board election to updates on several policies, the Lake Pend Oreille School District board will have any number of things on its plate at its meeting Tuesday.

Zones with seats up for election in the Nov. 7 election are zones 1 and 4, which are currently held by Purley Decker and Geraldine Lewis, respectively.

Among the policies up for review by the board are a policy on school restrooms following a mandatory state of Idaho policy ensuring a separation of school restrooms and changing facilities on the basis of biological sex.

Also on the agenda is a policy on district credit card use, records management, retention of district records, board trustee membership in the event a change in zone boundaries impacts a trustee, a policy on student and family privacy rights, and a policy on parental rights.
