POLICE NAB BOMB THREAT SUSPECT

A 14-year old Cocolalla youth confessed to Sandpoint police that he called a bomb threat to the Junior High last Tuesday. An informed source said the youth and a 15-year old companion, were identified by eye witnesses. The confession is a big break-through for city police, who have worked around the clock in the wake of a recent deluge of bomb threats. Threats at the Senior High Thursday, Friday and Monday, plus threats at the Junior High on Monday, forced the closure of school each of those days, prompting Sandpoint Mayor Les Brown to offer a $500 reward for information “leading to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible.”
