SANDPOINT — Sandpoint trailed for the majority of the game until the fourth quarter, where they outscored Timberlake 21-7 to capture a victory over the Tigers at Timberlake High on Tuesday night.

A handful of Bulldogs posted massive performances in the win. Derrick Chamberlain led the way with 20 points and hauled in 12 rebounds to complete a double-double. Parker Childs and Logan Roos each added 19 points of their own; Roos also added four steals and three blocks. Emerik Jones scored nine, and recorded a game-high 16 rebounds and six assists.

“We made enough plays to get the win,” head coach Brian Childs said. “We talked yesterday and today about how Timberlake was going to come out and play their best game against us — they did last year and did today … They went on a run to start the second half but we fought through the adversity and stayed the course. At the end of the night, it was satisfying to come away with the victory. They (Timberlake) shot the ball well and played some tough basketball.”

Sandpoint (8-9) will host Genesis Prep for senior night on Friday.
