Harrison caps career for Cutthroat high school lacrosse team

Sandpoint senior defender Lydia Harrison, middle, capped her four-year high school lacrosse career recently for the local Cutthroat club team. One of the trailblazers of girls lacrosse in Sandpoint, Harrison, who also plays hockey and was a strong setter on the Bulldog volleyball team, caught the eye of Sandpoint Cutthroat Lacrosse president Deidre Cole. “She’s been very committed, very brave,” said Cole, noting the Logos High School team refused to take the field against Sandpoint for religious reasons if any girls played, forcing Harrison to miss the action. “She kind of paved the way for the girls in Sandpoint. She’s had quite an impact on all of the young girls that have turned out.”
