Theater group putting on 'The Importance of Being Earnest
Old meets new in Lake Pend Oreille Repertory Theatre's latest production, "The Importance of Being Earnest". Written by Oscar Wilde, the "trivial comedy for serious people" was first performed in London in 1895. In what is described as a farcical comedy, the characters pretend to be something they are not in order to escape the burdens of their social obligations.
